HTC has announced its first wearable at MWC 2015, but it’s not the long-awaited smartwatch. Grip is HTC’s first smart fitness tracker in partnership with Under Armour that looks like one of Nike’s FuelBands. More importantly, the tracker features a built-in GPS which separates it from the competition. HTC Grip can operate without a phone and be paired with a Bluetooth heart rate monitor chest strap. The display is 1.8-inch 32 x 160 pixel PMOLED, monochrome and relatively low-res but it’s IP57 waterproof. With GPS switched off the 100mAh battery will last a couple of days but with GPS on you’ll get 5 hours of GPS tracking.
The price of the HTC Grip will be $199.99 and will be available in Deep Teal/Lime with three different size options.
