Jawbone updates its popular series of fitness trackers UP adding two new models – UP3 with built-in heart rate monitor and budgetary UP Move.
The Jawbone UP3 is the natural successor to the Jawbone UP24 and includes a newly designed tri-axis accelerometer, bioimpedance sensors, as well as skin and ambient temperature sensors.
Advanced bioimpedance sensors measures resting heart rate, a leading indicator of overall health and fitness level. Workouts are automatically recognized and logged. Waret-resistent (to 10m) UP3 uses advanced sensors to track true sleep stages – REM, Light, and Deep. Smart Coach is then able to give suggestions to maximize sleep.
Jawbone UP3 is available in black and silver, the price is $179.99 (£149.99 in the UK).

Jawbone UP Move is a budget friendly activity tracker aimed at beginners. It comes in a bunch of colors with a belt clip case that lets you wear it on your clothes and it’s splash resistant, so no need to worry about rain or sweat from a hard workout. UP Move can track steps (tri-axis accelerometer), exercise and overall calories burned throughout the day, track hours slept and quality of sleep. The sleep monitoring isn’t as detailed as what you’d get from the UP3, which can determine REM, deep and light sleep.
