Competitor Running committed an extensive review of participants at the 2015 Boston Marathon thanks to a camera set up 11 miles into the race. The camera captured the shoe brands of 15,718 runners, or roughly 59 percent of the total field, 59% men and 41% women.
24 different shoe brands were represented, ASICS was №1 accounting for a quarter of total shoes counted, Brooks was second and Saucony third. There were no barefoot runners among the first 15,718 competitors.
